Hawker Pacific grounds spam with GFI email filtering system
ComputerWorld featured an interview with Robert Burns, Manager of Information Systems at Hawker Pacific, one of Australasia's largest commercial aviation companies, detailing how the company overcame its problem with spam after installing GFI MailEssentials™ and GFI MailSecurity™. Mr. Burns said he was "monumentally impressed" with the products which he found "easy to implement and quick". The company chose "GFI MailEssentials for spam filtering, and GFI MailSecurity for filtering email-borne viruses, worms, and trojans." In a comparative review of anti-spam products, Windows IT Pro magazine awarded GFI MailEssentials™ the top score of 4 1/2 stars out of a possible 5. The product was named Windows IT Pro Editor's Choice. The reviewer, John Green, compared five server-based anti-spam software products that integrate with Microsoft Exchange Server. He found that GFI MailEssentials offers "a broad range of filtering technologies", and has powerful options that let you "customize the product according to your business needs". He mentions that the product supports Bayesian filtering and includes a reporting component. The reviewer also noted that GFI MailEssentials offers features beyond spam filtering, such as, "mail monitoring, archiving, and content scanning, to add value".
